Sexy Girls is a four piece band from Amherst, MA. Consisting of members Alex Whitelaw (guitar, vocals), Sam Hatch (guitar), Adam Har-zvi (bass), and Stephen Kerr (drums), the band was formed in 2013 as a vehicle for the compositions of Whitelaw. Their music is notable for its sophistication in songwriting approach, glossed with meaningful melodies. Their sound is reverb laden and dynamic, using the music to convey the depth of the lyrics. Whitelaw shows considerable prowess in crafting a cohesive and engaging album that shows its roots in surf/garage rock, but simultaneously severs ties with it though mature songwriting that will appeal to a large audience.
