Revolution OS, the documentary film, tells the inside story of the hackers who rebelled against the proprietary software model and Microsoft to create GNU/Linux and the Open Source movement. Filmed between 1999 and 2001, Revolution OS captures a fleeting moment in Silicon Valley history when coders and entrepreneurs started a technological movement in their pursuit of freedom.
